Am thinking of upgrading the headlights on my 1998 E39 to the HALOGEN angel eyes (am doing it primarily as the lighting quality from the current standard headlamps is so poor). My question is will the halogen angel eyes be much of an improvement over my current standard lamps? I know the Xenon ones are but I dont fancy spending £1k just for headlights on car worth less than £10k.
On a purely cosmetic note I know I can also upgrade the rear lights and side repeaters to give the car the look of the face lifted version but is there also something that can be / needs to be done to the front grille as well? Im sure I read somewhere that the front grille was updated in the facelift but I cant find out what it was and what the "upgrade" would involve for me - is it something easily done or is it a big job?
