A few weeks ago i got a check engine light, took it over to my friend's shop and read the codes. The o2 sensor came up as well as a knock sensor. I cleared the codes, and the o2 sensor came up a few miles later. I ordered one from BMA. Two days later the light went out, went back to his shop and cleared the codes again. I haven't seen the light or anything since. Would bad (cheap) brand gas cause the o2 sensor to go haywire? I'm still getting about 21-30mpg all the time. Also, what causes the OBC to stop reading functions regarding speed and fuel? Everything else works fine, it happened when i installed my nakamichi unit, i'm thinking there's a wire back there that might have gotten snipped or shorted out. Anyone have an idea which wire back there that receives the signal from the speed sensor or whatever allows it to calculate speed and fuel mileage?

Cliffnotes: crazy o2 sensor, OBC not giving mpg or speed related functions.
