Suddenly noticed all the switches did not work and the heater ran hot full stop. A lot of digging and perusal led to control unit fault. None available but new one on flea bay $28. On a RHD car remove shrouding by column and its in front of pollen filter housing, out it came BUT it was fried. Then I found out why, due to storage of car for eighteen years the glue on screen had gone solid and there was a leak which flowed down to control box and accounts for misting up, I thought it was sunroof seal, wrong. A new screen in UK is $130 fitted, problem solved.
