Nice car but no thanks, main thing that ruined it on spot was the non centered exhaust in the rear. Other than that I can't find a lot of faults.

Yeah, no thanks. It's still an E34 and it's not unique enough (to me) to pay a gaga price. And it's not so low a mileage to be a time capsule. Nope.
Here's a guy in SLO CA who seems to like making stuff up. '96 Olympics edition? C'mon man...there were thousands of Oxford over parchment 525i cars made in '95. And they ALL had the wood. He's only double market value, not as high as your "very optimistic" seller.

My favorite part, "No mechanical defects"
Further down, list of mechanical defects.
WTF???
No peeling or damaged paint.
Further down, photo of damaged paint on mirror. Um. DUDE!?!?!?

People are praying on lack of knowledge. Like I tell my son, "they can ask whatever they want".

The Olympics Edition e34 is a real car. Only a few things that made it different from the normal '95's including the wheels and green piping on the seats (visible in the pictures). That's a real description of a real package that was offered. That said, it's not a package that adds a lot of value, unless maybe you were a part of the Atlanta Olympics? It's a pretty normal car and should be priced like any other 525i with similar issues.

One interesting note about the maintenance. If the owner's shop sold him on a timing belt change for that M50TU, then what else was done that wasn't needed? More importantly, what was *not* done that *was* needed?
