Happy Holidays everyonesanta

I have a 1992 525i touring and having difficulty troubleshooting the inoperability of both the tailgate and rear window switch. I checked for broken wires on the wire bundles that are exposed when the tailgate is lifted and also checked all fuses. The Bentley wiring diagram shows an inline fuse for the 1990 model, does anyone know if this applies to the later years?

The fusible link is always close to the battery, see some pics here http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Maintenance/Electrical/Fusible_link.htm
Did you check both sides wires looms on the rear hatch? There should be 2 of them as far as I remember, also check in the wiring diagrams here
