Anyone else gettin jerked around by cruise control?

Lately it feels like the cruise is extra diligent at staying at the set speed and/or there is more minor throttle adjustment than I'm accustomed to. Result is that the vehicle is no longer smooth when cruising.

Any thoughts?

I had this, it was the speed sensor in the differential, but the speedo will show unusual speeds too,

No funny speedo games, so hopefully not the sensor. Seems to have gotten better. I'll hold my breath for a while and hopefuly don't experience this again.
