Good Morning from San Diego,

i have a 1990 525 wagon with 186,000 miles. I replaced the interior with a set from a 1995 in great shape. I also fixed the cables on the lift gate that rubbed to bare wire which repaired the rear taillight from staying on. I also replaced the brake light switch which cleared the brake light code on console.
Yesterday, my directionals stopped working, I tried the hazards and they also do not work. I replaced both hazard flasher relay and the crash control unit. Bulbs, LCM and check control module all ok. Fuse 2,3,6,13 and 14 ok as well. Any suggestions.

After attempting to read electrical diagrams in the Bentley manual I am unclear if the general relay (under the back seat) could be a source of the problem. Has anyone replaced this and why?

thanks, jim

FIXED! Should have checked the flasher switch must have damaged it when I swapped the interior. Problem was the flasher switch

You can open and clean/repair it. All kinds of switches opened which shows how to replace the bulbs
