I found this part under the driver seat. Part is broken off from somewhere but I cannot find where it came from and no clue what it is. Everything works fine and no odd noise anywhere. Can anyone identify what this part is and where it could be located? From the picture below, there is partial BMW part #.

and the part numbers you still can see would also be helpful. Looks like it starts with 5210...., that are seat parts, just go thru the lists

maybe item 13? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HE63&mospid=47410&btnr=52_0879&hg=52&fg=10&lang=enUS
or 9 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HE63&mospid=47410&btnr=52_2103&hg=52&fg=10&lang=enUS
but better check with your VIN and then go to seats and single parts for seats

Yes i know what that part is; Where your headrest fits into the seat back, it is the plastic bushing which is located in the actual seat frame.Take off the seat backing and look up underneath the covering at the frame and you will see that part of it has remained in the frame, the other part is what you found under your seat. The actual part number is 52101937306,(which has now ended), the new one is 52208132020. I have had to replace all four on my car. Here's the link to help you out and its number 8 on the list
