Anyone know this car?

I had a 1992 525it a few years back and have the itch to buy another one. This one showed up on a local charity car auction and I am thinking of buying it Metro Auto Auctions (http://www.charitycarauctions.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?charitycar1/66927M)

What is kind of interesting is that it was for sale earlier this year in Pennsylvania and there are over 60 really nice pix of it on this website:

Would be interested in your opinions of the 530it and also if anyone here knows anything about this car. I liked my 525it but it was kind of slow. I am thinking the 530it might be a better daily driver.

As an owner of the V8, the V8 is typical in maintenance... not any different from other engines. You really need to see the service record and inspect the vehicle thoroughly.

Make sure the self leveling system is intact and not leaking.

I've only got the 6 banger, but judging from the pictures that looks pretty nice. With that low mileage, in that (visual) condition, and now being donated, it might have been babied by someone with some money. But... a Pennsylvania car? Watch out for rust. I didn't see any pictures underneath it.

Just as a juxtaposition, this one is for sale near me. He is asking $1200 for this beater!!
