Dash displays in German ??

i have a 1989 525i recently dash display started to display in german very annoying , i need help to change it back to english??

I think the warning messages for my 89 535i are in English, but the dash display for the trip computer functions is in German (I think) Can this be changed to English using the same procedure? I am assuming that the CC button is the right hand one. I was wondering what that did!
