we balanced the brake disks and the shuddering was history

one of our wrenching buddies had on his E32 750 always vibration/juddering in the front.
After changing all front steering parts like the usual suspects upper control arm etc, wheel rebalancing etc pp, the vibration was still there, mainly in the usual miles/h range.

Then one of us had the idea to remove the after market cheapo brake disks and put them on our wheel balancing machine. We have a simple one from BALCO. And in fact we found an unbalance of 25!!! gramms on one cheapo disk brake. I assume that would never happen with ATE disks, ATE balances all their disks.

On page 10 of the ATE site you can see where they take off the material, we did the same

Every time I take an ATE out of the box I marvel at the way its crafted. And to think, in China they have the latest casting gear and machinery investment. And still such results... I always buy ATE now.
