hello every one im very new to this forum (http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/#) and to bmw's, i currently own a nissan s15 and rx7, but i have always had a soft spot for e34s classic shape http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/smile.gif, im living in Australia and plan to buy a e34 5 and turbo it, issues being all our motors have 250000kms plus on the engines, so im not sure if slapping a turbo onto a m30 would last very long, my hp goal is 400-500, so my options are rebuilding a 3.5 m30 which i don't know if i like becasue there a 12 valve engine, i underatand there bottom end is bullet proof but i'd be more inclined to buy a e36 m3 engine and turbo that or m5 engine,
If i was to put a m3 or m5 engine in what engine and transmission (http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/#) mount modifcations would i need to do, plus do you have preference on what engine i should use.
Also does any know where i could get hold off if possible
LSD
bushing and ball joint replacements
if possible castor, toe and camber arms
coil overs, i have heard of ground control

Thank you for any help

i emailed him 2 days ago he said stick with the m30 over the e36 m3 s50 engine even with 250kms on the motor, a few people have said that, i cant understand i would have thought that s50/52 had a much better engine especially considering it has 24v and individual throttle bodies.

yeah probably the s50 motor is better, but its a lot more work to get it going in the first place. the initial price of a m3 motor is cost prohibitive also.

i have looked around and found some around the 5-6k mark that is pretty priceyi dont know i would feel bad putting large amounts of cash into m30 though i wouldn't at all with a s50/52
