Hello everyone. I was referred here by another forum I frequent. I just added a '95 525i to my stable of e28's. I'm told there is some very valuable information passed here, so I wanted to join and gobble some up.

I'll be sniffing around here and there, and may have a question or two on my e34.

Cheers

There are a lot of wise men on this forum. I am a relative newcomer so I know it takes a lot to wake them up. Unlike some other forums, you will find the advice you get is accurate, concise and reliable. And it is even polite. I have looked around and found no other forum like it. So welcome from me but please keep the noise down

Welcome, new guy. The board definitely goes through waves of activity and right now it's pretty low, but there is indeed a wealth of knowledge in the archives. Post some pics of your car!

Hi Timothy I am also new to the E34 but it was browsing through this forum that helped me to decide to buy my car since there seemed to be people willing to help with most things

Hi Timothy,
I am also newbie here.
Bought 2 E34 and slowly bringing them back from their neglect.
One thing that you may want to check if you hear noise when opening your door
is if the front of the door is cracking from the force that the door brake puts on the sheet metal.
The driver door on my 530 was cracked and the 540 was starting to work loose, so I took measurements
and had a friend make me stainless steel door reinforcement plates.
Let me know if you are interested in saving your doors if you have the same problem.
I am not making money on them, so they are only $7 per plate.

Yea that's good. Keep her on the v-line (and you'll do just fine around here)...

(Welcome from downunder, mate!)
