Car has been losing a little coolant for a couple of weeks but I could not trace it. Today I decided to run the car but not let it get hot as I suspected any minor leaks might evaporate. I tracked it down to where the bottom atf line goes into the rad. Cheapest replacement rad I can get is £93:(
But not long ago I put a new rad in her car and noticed the factory hadnt tightened the connections properly. Mine has been in for about two years but maybe the nut had backed off? I had nothing to lose so gave it a go. The nut wasnt tight and 1/4 turn later I dont have a leak.
Special tools:
7/8" BSW socket - thats probably about 30mm but I couldnt find a conversion table
2"x1.5" hinged make-up mirror taped to the end of a stick. Only the stick is mine! :D
