I bought new hood lift support (http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw/lift_support.html) for my car. I'm having a hard time removing the part where the ball and socket joint is. The new ones have a metal band where the cup is but the old ones don't. I thought that these just popped out. Anybody have any ideas how to remove them?thanks
