I can get pics if you'd like, but perhaps one of you could help identify...

While I was replacing my turn signal relay, I looked behind the fuse box, where there are three wires+plugs running horizontally, under the plastic mesh guard. The bottom of which has two small wires coming from a plug, has been chewed past the plug.

Splice and replace the wires? You obviously found a problem.

I will, once I know where the other end of the wire is.

If the wire itself isn't damaged you could probably get away with an application of "liquid electrical tape." It's a brush-on goo that cures into an elastic, watertight coating. I used it when I spliced in the connectors for my euro headlights and it's held up well for years.

Was it chewed by an animal? Or is it possible that the wire got all chewed where it goes through the firewall? If that is the case then the other end of it will be underneath the dash with a gazillion other wires. I think pics might help.
