The M20 on my '88 325 has an oil leak that I am pretty sure is a front cam seal that has gone toes up. How difficult is it to fix / replace the seal? Anybody have a procedure for that?
Thanks.

It's a pretty easy fix. You have to be sure the timing marks are lined up. I think Pelican and Bavauto have write ups on changing timing belts that will get you 95% of the way there. You should have a Bentley Manual. If you haven't changed the timing belt in the last 50,000 miles or 6 years you need to do that. Ask me how I know. You want to loosen the cam pulley bolts with the timing belt on. Water pumps need to be changed every 2 timing belts. Don't forget about the tensioner. You can see a write up on e30tech.com in the DIY section.
