Hi guys,
Has been awhile, I have the R5/FCX3 PEAKE tool. The car has the check engine light on for a couple of months now. I used the peake tool to get the code but as I tried to acquire the code the tool gave me "FF" the first reading meaning refer to table FF on the manual as I went ahead it only gave a code of "46" which is not on the table of FF. As I looked at the other table it says "46 Control unit fault, ignition capacitor airbag passenger". 1992 525i(M50) doesn't have any airbag on the passenger side. I am actually trying to upload the scanned table of the faults chart but for some reason I am not able to.
Also the manual that came with the PEAKE tool says R5/SRS2 but the model tool I have is R5/FCX3. I found this link made by Shogun which makes more sense to me which could be the right manual. Sounding the post my be dumb but just want to have some clarification.
