A service centre has advised me my TX valve needs replacing.
They say I also have a leak at the front condensor.

Is the TX replacement a huge job? ie: does it require all the dash coming out to get to the TX valve, or is it reasonably accessable?

I'm not planning on doing the job myself, but I want to know what they are going to pull apart and disturb to get to it. It might be that I would prefer a BMW expert to do it instead.

What is TX valve?

TX valve breaks the compressed freon liquid and breaks it up into a mist just before it enters the evaporator. The small droplets in the mist absorb the heat of the air flowing though the evaporator and the heat turns the freon into a gas, which exits the evaporator and returns to the condensor/compressor/drier to be compressed again and go around the same circle repeatedly.
