I had this annoying clunk develop over the last two months. Last night I tracked it down to the sway bar links, which I had replaced with my shocks exactly 1 year ago. Karlyn appears to use a mixture of steel and play-dough for their metal extrusions. The boots weren't torn, but they didn't seem to have much grease inside any longer. So, maybe it's the rubber? Either way, stay away from Karlyn. What they say about Lemforder is true. It is the only safe option.
I found the box that one of these links came in. I had kept it because it was accidentally packaged with an extra link, which I kept as a spare (Guess what I'll be doing with that one next year). Anyway, the box has a german flag and says "The Art of German Engineering", which gave me a bit of a laugh.
