I have a 1989 SAAB 900s that I do not drive and it remains outside. I want to get a car cover for it but dont want to spend lots of money, the car cover is mostly to keep the grime off it so I dont have to spend most of the day cleaning it three times a year.

I really need to unload this car as I probably will not drive it any time soon, but in the mean time I want to cover it.

Thanks

My experience with covers is that they beat up the paint and hold that grime inside much worse than just leaving it uncovered. A really good quality cover might be different, but then your 'cost effective' criteria goes right out the window. ($150-200)

I'd just clean it well, wax the heck out of it with a good wax, and put as many sunshades inside as you can (save the interior).
