2003 325i 4dr sedan US model.

Is there a cabin floor drain under the front passenger foot well?

Wife told me the carpeting on the passenger foot-well area is wet after driving to work in the rain. Not antifreeze and very localized. Not on the sides of the foot-well area other than maybe some absorption. None on top of the BMW rubber floor mats. Garaged and not left in rain with windows open etc.

We've had it since new and taken very good care of the car so it's baffling.

I'm not home at the moment and kinda wondering.

Thanks - Spud

yes, there are rubber plugs all over, these are from painting the body of the car in the factory. The body is 'diving' thru a paint and after it leaves the remaining paint drains thru these holes.
Sometimes these rubber plugs come off, for example pushed out by a wrong placed lifting tool, then this is a 'nice' ground for rust.
The plugs you can get from dealer, see www.realoem.com
Here some pics from my parts car E32 where you can see the holes

Thanks Shogun.

I looked in the realoem before posting but could not find the section where the plugs would be. I'll look again.
