View Full Version : Weird issue: low idle during slow stops...

I thought this was a cluster issue, but I received a new cluster and it's still here. I'll try my best to describe this...

When I'm stopping, or coming slowly to a stop, a rolling stop, my car sounds like it's idling extremely low. Yet, the idle goes back up to normal immediately after I come to a complete stop.

Any ideas?

It seems to happen most when my speedometer isn't working, and is sometimes resolved when i was to tap on the dash or just when te speedo jumps back on randomly. With that said, it doesn't always happen with the speedo is off, either. This is AFTER I replaced my cluster with a rebuilt cluster, too.

On a related note. My left turn signal (interior indicator, not the exterior signals) flashes *almost* simultaneously (as well as half as bright as it should be) with my right turn signal when I have the right signal engaged. With my left signal engaged, everything is normal. My signal stock is fine, and the cluster was just replaced. What am I missing?

measure the charging voltage of the alternator and let us know.
In idle and around 1500 PM.
