528i inside Heater blower keeps running

My sister in laws 2000 528i has a problem with a fan on the inside of the car. Every once in a while when she shuts off the car the blower keeps running. Today the car has been off for two hours and the blower continues to run. I told her to disconnect the battery for now. Any suggestions?

Looks like it is the Final stage resistor 64116923204. I will purchase one and find out.

+1 final stage resistor. About $100 CAD at the dealer or $50-75 aftermarket.
