While underneath the car cleaning the oil pan mating surfaces, I noticed again this annoying oil drop that forms at the bellhousing (see pic.) I thought all along it was oil coming from the oil pan but this can not be the case as there is obviously no oil in the pan. If it's really coming from the TC seal, can someone give me info on how to replace this? It looks involved. Yikes! Thanks

one thing to remember on 4hp22 coonverter seals, when you pull the seal look into the hole and see if the bushing behind the seal has walked forward, if it has you need to replace the bushing or the new seal will fail quickly, this requiers dissassembleing the pump to press in a new bushing

an excellent point Winfred....a friend of mine had back to back seal failures and that was the root cause.
