I've searched but i guess i might be typing it wrong. Anyway after 307,000kms. my engine is starting to show its age. My car's eating oil esp. during highway trips with high rpms and having white bluish smoke sometime black during high rev (3000 up rpm). For the amount of money that i'll spend on the rebuild of my m20b25 I'd rather get an m50.. I went to the yard and found a good m50b25 (non vanos) with only 78,000kms. and a m50tu b25 with only 5+,+++kms. on the clock but both no tranny but both comes with the harness, comp.box , and cluster (e34). The guys there said I could use my existing tranny (4hp22eh) Is this true? I wanted a manual sooo bad but here it's like finding a needle in an hay stack!

thats what ricky told me. The 4hp will fit.But my concern is if it'll work correctly and not have the "trans program" msg.he's out of m20 and m30! I think he's out of trannys too but if ever he has one laying around i dunno if my budget is sufficient! he's asking 130,000 for the engine, harness, cluster , and installation...with the tranny i'll not be surprised if it climbed to 170k
