Thanks

Are you in the US? If not, go for the 3.8 model, it's much better.

You should go spend some time over here http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e34-m5-discussion/ as you'll find a lot more info specific to the M5 than you will here. Lots of very knowledgeable E34 M5 folks there.

Yup, you'll be spared all the E34 ///M5 mythology that's been spread by the E36 sedan 318Ti drivers.

Yeah, I think there's only 2 M5 owners that are regularly around on this board. Bob is one of them. Trevor in NC is the other. And he's got an M5 & an M-Sport (M5 but with different engine & tranny).

You'll want to know about the M5 specific things such as what to look for as far as the engine/tranny/SLS go. And you can get a lot more people to answer those question on the M5 board.

Only M5 specific info I can give out rather well is all EDC related. Which only matters if you're looking at a 3.8 M5 or an M-Sport/M540. No North American M5's had EDC. Everything else on my M-Sport isn't too much different than standard E34 stuff And you should already know E34 basics...
