It's finally time....I need a replacement radiator. BMA lists radiators made by Behr, and by Nissens. About the same price....can any one offer any comments as to which one to buy? Are there any other sources that might save me some money? Thanks!!!

I've got a nissens one in there now... Had it in for a while and absolutely no problems. Was fairly cheap too and an easy replacement. :)

I just replaced my radiator on my 92 525i (M50 175k). I got the BEHR from BMA. The radiator i was replacing was a Nissens which had a warped expansion tank. The aftermarket expansion tanks DO NOT FIT the Nissens so I had to purchase an entire radiator because of a bad tank.

I had the chance to buy other aftermarket radiators for about $150 to $160 but went with BMA because the BEHR is a known quantity, good quality, and the price from Yves at BMA was very good.

I did the water pump last year, and know wish I had done everything at once. You should consider doing the water pump, thermostat, hoses, radiator cap, and coolant sensor all at once. (Also the main belt if it needs it.) All of this is very much easier when the radiator is out.

Good luck
