I am rebuilding my sons 735i front bumper. Under the bumper is a small piece of plastic with three push pins holding it to the lower portion of the bumper. What is puzzling me is there is two broken pieces of plastic in the bumper that looks like there use to be something bigger but I can't find it in the BMW parts catalog. I boxed the broken parts in yellow and showed where I removed them from the bumper with yellow arrows. I have the plastic piece that fits above these arrows and it looks fine, There has to be a second piece that interlocks with the first????

Anyone have a clue?

Interesting it almost looks like this but this is a E32 735i not a E34 530i . I think it must have been some grill work that interlocked with the piece that stayed on the car.

On closer examination of the plastic plate I discovered four points where the plastic had broken. Looks like the grill snapped off of this plate
