So the old 5-er wouldn't start the other day.
Turn the key. Click.
Turn the key. Click.
Hmmm.
Lights nice and bright.
Hmmm.
After a little poking around, decided it must be the starter. Pull it out to swap it (just happened to have a spare in the parts bin). Hmmm. Where the heck is the bearing on supporting the end of the starter shaft?
Yeah, it was time for a new one, no?
