Any modifications needed besides tire size change to mount M-pars from an E38 to an 89 535i?

Nope dont think so.

As far as i know you only need hubcentric rings when you got wheels from an e39.

What are the wheel specs? Diameter x width and offset....

not totally relevant, but probably interesting anyway:

looking further the ET will be different (http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/?felge=370)

You may want to search for 'ET' here (http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html)

The widths and ET's are different between the E38 & E34 M-Pars. But they both work just fine on E34's when you use the proper sized tire. And as said above should you get E39 M-Pars you'll need hubcentric rings to mount 'em on an E34.

I only got the rims though, the tires would have been useless to me anyways.

Any one have a write up on restoring/polishing these rims?

For E34's it's 245/40/18.

For the front? i think the 7 it came from had 235/45/18 and rear 255/??/18

anyways, what about the rear?

Big wheels are a bit tough on the steering. Enhanced shake at 45mph but they look good.

E34's had staggered rims for the M-Pars, but used 245/40/18 for both front and rear.
