if you have such a prob that the blower motor does not run and you are not sure if the motor is the prob or the sword, there is no need to remove the blower fan, make a bridge on the connector of the sword

Hi Erich, it seems my cars fan is not working at all now. Would this be the best guide to follow to determine my problem?

Yes, if you have a sword, see above Hilfsschaltung zum Testen des Heizschwertes. The pic shows you the pins

Pretty easy to rebuild the sword. As remember it was less than $20 USD and that include the clearcoat for the circuit board. Took about 2 hours in and out.

what are the symptoms of an iffy sword? I'm sure mine is the motor because it sounds like worn bearings but I'm wondering if its a combination of the two because sometimes it cuts out completely and it takes a long time to heat up.

When my sword went out it would blow at 100% or nothing. No settings in between. I repaired the bearings in the motor too.
