View Full Version : Valve covers before and after

Cleaned up a couple of valve covers this weekend. Pretty happy with the results. Sanded them down with 220, 600 grit sandpaper and water. Then polished them out with an aluminum polishing kit from Caswell. Took about an hour on one and about two hours on the other. Sprayed them down with a satin clear exhaust paint. Suppose to handle temps up to 2000 F

nice work, on the M60 they are mostly covered so the impact would not be as great.

Nice, I thought of doing this but I already have the aluminum polishing kit.

What do you do for the M60? Do you have to remove the rocker panels? My gold rocker panels are peeling left and right.
