Bought a new battery

I believe my old AC Delco froze during a freezing period in January when I didn't start the car for a couple weeks. The load test today confirm that suspicion. She was dead!

New AC Delco ACD49-60 set me back $175.00 (taxes-in) Canadian. Ouch.

Will buy a trickle charger for next Winter to use when the car sits idle for a couple weeks.

Live and learn.

BTW Still having a bitch of a time bleeding the cooling system but I think I licked it today. Nice having it out for a long run today on dry, salt-free roads.

get a battery tender for long periods when the car sits, I rotate its use between several batteries, need to buy about 3 more of them. Trickle charger can boil off the acid where the tender wont. The tender will also bring a dead frozen battery back to life if you charge it in a warm place.
