Where exactly is the engine block coolant drain plug for a m30 (US model) E34? I've searched and can't find a definitive answer for a m30 engine.

Bentleys says its 'on the exhaust side of the engine below cylinder cylinder no. 6' It doesnt mention it being different on the M30 and is certainly correct for mine

It's hard to see, but the the description in the Bentley is about as accurate as it can get. It's a bit high up on the block, if you get under there at the right angle or I guess have the car on a lift you should be able to see a relatively large hex plug oriented sideways. Don't remember the exact size but I feel like it was bigger than the oil plug (17mm).
