Must have been a gruesome crash. Some red stained fabric on the ground, airbag?

Considering how much it's been chopped/scavenged I'd say that picture was taken a while after the accident - I'd not expect bright red fabric to be blood at this point as 24/48 hours after blood gets into white fabric there's no way in heck it'd still be red. It'd congeal to brown. I think it's just some sort of red fabric.

Besides accident investigators/police usually wont leave stained items around - in the UK they're brutal about it - if theres any trace of *someone* left in a car the part of the car concerned is removed and destroyed almost immediately before it's released to the scrapyard.

(Btw, my original humour outburst was not at the state of the car - more the context.)

i get what you are saying, but you'd be surprised. I was involved in a rollover a few years back and my passenger hit his head on the rear view mirror and bled all over the headliner. When the car was repaired, we got it back with BROWN BLOOD STAINS all over the headliner. How the HELL was that not replaced? Had to raise a stink about it too, bizarre.
