So I was poking around this afternoon after I decided to replace the throttle cable bushing and noticed an extra plug that I do not recall being there on my 530. I looked around some more hoping to find what this lonely connector plugged in to but came up with nothing. Does anyone else have this mysterious plug on the left side of their engine? It runs to the electrical box next to the fuel rail. I am sure it is nothing, just curious.

Thanks for looking

Left side of the engine facing back of facing forward? If you get a larger view other M60 owner may be able to help.

Oops, I meant to say the right side (facing forward) of the engine. If I actually knew where my camera was I'd love to go take a better picture but all I have is a description.

It is a short run. The wire runs to the bottom front of the e-box beside the fuel rail. I'll see if I can't find my real camera and take a better shot this afternoon.

The two obvious ones in that area are too apparent to miss. They are the passenger side knock sensor connectors. The car won't run if the CPS connector on the right is not hooked up.

Then there are the ICV, air inlet temperature sensor and the throttle position sensor. Both the ICV and the TPS you can't miss or the car probably will let you know about it. You may want to check the air inlet temperature sensor.

In the picture the ICV is pulled you don't see the connector. The TPS and AITS are shown.
