Skip, have you driven a <2K4 TDI before? i.e. how does it compare to earlier models? I'm pretty happy with my 2K1 Jetta TDI, just getting broken in with 110,000kms on her. :D The extra 10 horses (90 up to 100) sound like it also comes with a few more foot-poundies! Cool...

Enjoy the ride! The 52mpg will make up for the Bimmer! :p

Cheers,
Duey

WTH is a variable turbo?

Can u increase the boost on these things... I kno the big diesel pick up trucks get huge HP gains w/ minor bolt-ons... aren't turbo's great? :-D

it's sorta like the nozzle on a jet exhaust changes the speed of the gas flow, the vanes in the turbine housing change the flow of gases to the tubine, it lets you have a big turbo without the bottom end lag by being able to spool it up quickly without overreving it at higher rpms. it's the vanos of turbos in other words
