Fabulous Fun with a Frozen Front Shock...

I submit to you another fool-proof test to tell if you need new front shocks: If one freezes rock solid when the temp drops below 32 degrees F.

Makes for an exciting driving experience. I'm glad I only work six miles from my house. I've gotten really good a spotting Michigan's pot holes from a ways away.

As soon as the temp goes above freezing it bounces once again.

So I long for warmer weather and I'll start saving my pennies for a Spring suspension renovation.

I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I would share....cheers! :D

Sounds like the hydraulic fluid has been displaced by H2O.

Depends on what shocks you have. I used to live in MI and I was there when we had -53 degree windchill factor that shut the whole state down. My car didn't have that problem.

They are probably original for all I know. I know the guy I bought the car from didn't replace them. But this Spring the car will have nice, shiny new ones.
