Hi guys,

I need to remove all my shocks. I'm starting with the front left strut. All is going well untill I come across this 1 nut picture below...

#7 on this drawing...

When I turn the nut to undo it, the stud turns with it. I know it's a little rusty and it probably somewhat siezed on there.
Has anyone come across this? How'd you get around it?

That is the stablizer link, it is designed to turn. I used an open end wrench and positioned it between the back side and using a socket on the nut. Can't remember what size wrench.

Aah wicked. Didn't see the 'head' of the studd behind there.

Thank you. ;)

that nut is MURDER. I had to cut one of mine off, otherwise an offset box wrench can do it if you hold it in place as mentioned above.

While removing one of these, my hand slipped and i cut my thumb open really hardcore on the brake shield. I remember looking down at the wound as tons of blood just poured out and thinking, 'wow, that's a lot of blood'. Then a much more rational part of my brain said 'dude, don't just look at it - stop the bleeding!'.

hehe. Yeah that shield got me a couple of times. Nothing bad though.
Well, got the fronts off. The rears are planned for tomorrow, unless I'm hung-over. :p
