Recent car club meeting was held at the garage of a private collector. +1 if you can ID who the collector is.

Lots of Ferraris ! The Daytona (yellow with the hide-away headligths) is my favorite in that make.

Impressive collection, must have been fun to be there. Thanks !

Was this the LeMay tour? Forgot why I didn't make that. Probably had to work like I seem to during every club event...

...the winner is - ROBIN!

(I wish)

No one is even close. Someone on the Porsche board I also posted too did get the answer.

Here's a few notes on what's in the pictures. The Alfa sedan was a class winner at this year's Pebble Beach concourse.

Others in the know - I'm not a Ferrari guy - have ID the maroon Ferrari as a California Spyder worth anywhere from $5M to $10M.

The red #20 sports car is a 166MM - apparently the first real Ferrari that got notice in the racing circuits. That car has some pretty famous racing history it seems. Our (most uninformed) guess is that was one of the collection trophies just based on the location and the amount of associated memorbilia with the car.

The best part really was not so much the cars - they were very cool of course - but the collection of memorbilia. It was like a museaum to Ferrari history and I wish I had taken more pictures of the items. Historial Racing trophies. Autographs. Tooling and manufacturing items. Engines. Models and miniatures. If it had something to do with Ferrari, it was there.

We guessed it was at least a $50M investment - others have thought even more.

Any last guesses?

Jon & Mary Shirley?

...and we have a winner! Good work. Now how did you figure that out?

For those who don't know (not that you would be expected to), Jon Shirely is the retired president of Microsoft and these pictures are from his collection/warehouse in the Bellevue Washington area not too far from Microsoft ground central.

I guessed Gilles since Enzo loved him to death and there was such an assortment of Memorabilia. I had no Idea if you were American or Canadian.

Canada, Northern US, all looks the same when it snows... :)

Ferrari 101.......The Maroon Spyder is a 250 GT California. There were only 54 made from '60-'63. I don't know how many are left. One was totaled during the Katrina storm a few years back. It made front page news burried in the surf and sand. The Yellow 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder is also very $$$$$$. They only made 10 between '67 and '68. They were manufactured as Berlinetta's and then converted by Sergio Scaglietti for Luigi Chinetti, Ferrari’s American importer. NART is an abbreviation for Chinetti’s North American Racing Team.

Thanks for the photos. I'd like to visit that "garage"
