derek and tiger were totally right and i'm pretty sure i'll redo the whole PS leading edge one day there are a few lousy spots there.

http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6149&stc=1&d=1224886663

but the other side's nice...
http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6156&stc=1&d=1224944750

now i really have to paint that wiper arm...
http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6150&stc=1&d=1224886868

to sum it up...

-fenders are basecoat only, painted by a pro (then retouched by a 'pro' (http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6155&stc=1&d=1224888776))
-doors are off another schwarzI car with a cheap clearcoat
-rest of car is factory paint with even cheaper clearcoat (http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6033&stc=1&d=1224096349)
-hood and grill basecoat only brushed by an amateur
-[bumper] brushed by same amateur with $5 paint

mega thanks jeff for the help, and mike i like your style, brother... couple coats of road ick and noone will notice :D!

That is an impressive change!!! My hat is off to you sir... I might be following in your footsteps one day, mine isn't rusted, but it's dull as sunday night TV.

For a second there I thought you fixed the dent, really cant see it easily. I liked the hood and grill better before you painted it... more character.

Eh Tim, Snow? God that bites :( . Did any of it stay on the ground? We had +17 deg C today :D rather balmy indeed :p. Hoping I don't see snow until January cuz' I sold the truck and the E34 needs a new set of snow shoes.

You still coming out west Dec/Jan?

yah eh? bites big it's cold as hell already in the wee hours.

snow didn't stick near me but i saw a couple of cars driving around with a couple inches on the roof at 2pm so it did stick somewhere near... shudder... hope i fixed everything this year...

just ordered my 2 new tires (skimped last year only bought 2 'cause 2 were still ok) yesterday... there is going to be a major lineup for them here because winter tires will be mandatory here starting dec 15th

nokian hakka 5s to match the 2 i bought last year... $170 each holy %$#@.

worth every penny... plenty of things i don't know but something i do know is heavy rwds and traction in harsh winters and pardon the expression but hakka 5s are the **** and i will never buy another brand.... they blew me away last year my car is a snowplough all 4 will be so sweet!

should be out in jan/feb sometime but might be in fernie :( j/k :D... i'll let you know...

-talked to moe last week... funny.... now i know where you really get your handle! it was still a good guess tho dude i nailed your high skool :D - hello to E!

Dude, that does suck; I’d take -30 deg C and blue skys in Alberta or the NWT over -10 deg C and overcast in Ontario or Quebec any day! Summers are a different story...nothing compares to the pristine crystal clear lakes on the shield.

About E34 winter tires, I’m assuming you’re running them on 15” rims. What size did you go with? I had studded Hakkas on my truck and they were awesome. I need to replace the yokohama guardex 600s on the 535 with a set of hakkas.

……and speaking of high school, in retrospect, Jeff_Spicoli :D might have been a better handle……

keep me posted about your visit…L8R

agreed! i can never get warm enough here - i will move back one day there is no doubt in my mind.

i use 205/65/15 no studs... awesome snowmobile - the wheels (first post, 4th pic) came with the car ...and are about due for an encounter with my paintbrush i think...

hmmm... tremclad flat black like the bumper might go nicely... (i really have to start doing something else with my life)
