My door brakes work great, albeit a little noisy, but the door will not stay open on it's own. Even if I am on a downhill slope and hit the second notch, when I release pressure the door wants to shut itself. Do I need to replace something?

change the door brakes, there are defective. And if they are already noisy, do it as fast as you can, otherwise you have more damage on the door and A-pillar fixing points.
Door bracket enforcement plates are a bestseller

Ditto - you won't regret the bux spent on the reinforcement plates and as long as you're taking out the old door brakes, you may as well do the reinforcements at the same time.

Mine broke. The big problem with them breaking is that they will bend your window track. Bought new window track. Only $20 us. Cannot for the life of me get that window aligned correctly. There is no adjustment on teh front track that I can tell, and I've tried every adjustment possible on the slide adjuster toward the rear. (Just decided matybe I should start another thread,...) Anyway...replace it! At minimum, dis-connect it so it does not break and wreck your window track!!

Is there a writeup anywhere on disconnecting these? I just spent like $1500 on suspension parts from BMA, I'm gonna have to hold off on new door brakes and reinforcements for now

I just tapped out the pin connecting the arm to the chassis bracket.
