VIN decoder is on my website.
1990 is not enough, add month and year of production, that all you can find in the VIN decoder.
i = manual gear, iA = automatic transmission

What's so complicated? If you would have completed the car info, I could have told you where it is. But just scroll down, from page 9 on a drawing of every engine type is shown with a big arrow where the engine number is on the engine. It starts with M10 engine. No need to understand German.
