Heres is another one. I think this is part of the headlight setup but the illustration on RealOEM doesn't look anything like this. (Part number #11)

It's called the right inside covering. The picture on Realoem depicts the left side.

I'm pretty sure the air cleaner snorkle fits in the round cut-out, not sure if you can mount it right with the beat up tabs however...my US model 2.5 l has the same part.

Good luck,

John

It depends on engine type, not all E34 have it installed.

Here's the correct part number you need for the right side covering. 51711946434 Realoem says it's good from '89-'93, unless you have the headlight cleaning system.

The circle cutout accepts the intake horn for the air cleaner, the cutout has a plastic plug for the M5 since the air intake is on the other side. There are a couple of plastic screws and anchors for attaching it as well, see item #12 on your diagram.

Pelican parts show a pic of it but no price. Also tried Bavauto and Autohaus but they don't carry it. Anyone know where I can get this panel. For now I will weld the old one and put it back on. I have a plastic welder, works pretty good as long as I weld a piece of stainless screen into the tab.

www.mileoneparts.com has that part (51711946434) listed at $7.40. Says list price is $9.25, so you should be able to get it for $9-$10 at the dealer.

intake goes into one and the alternator cooling duct goes into the other

I live in Dayton Ohio and the local bimmer dealer charges about 3 times what you can get a part on pelican or bavauto. I will let you know

I noticed that mileoneparts does not calculate shipping. Whats up with that?

I noticed that mileoneparts does not calculate shipping. Whats up with that?

They charge you shipping after they've got it boxed up. They seem to charge only what it actually costs. So they've got to know the size & weight of the box to figure out what the shipping will cost. And to do that they need your order boxed up and ready to ship.

I'd call up your local stealer and ask what they want for it. I'm guessing that you'll pay $8 or $9 to ship that part from Mileone (which is about the minimum charge from UPS). Making it a $16-$17 part after you add shipping. If that's all you want to order from them I'd bet that ever your high-priced stealer would charge a little less than that.

Hmm, I ordered several parts. I wonder what they will charge for multiple items? Will let you know

Local dealer $18.38 which surprises me... only twice the dealer price. Figured it would be more.

Just got a package from Mileone and decided to get an idea of what they actually charge for shipping. I was charged $28.11 to ship this order. And when I put the info into the UPS cost calculator I was given a quote of $29.95.

So it looks like they're just charging you the discounted rate they're getting from UPS and no more.

Seem to only really be able to get a hold of them through email. That online messages thing on the website hasn't ever worked for me. And it's hard to get a hold of them over the phone.

How long do you have to wait for an order to be filled by mileoneparts? I have checked the status and they only have one part in stock, says everything else is on order.
