I think that's true of the 3 and 5 series (designs going downhill!), but the 7 is by far the best looking out of the bunch now.

I'd still go with the e34 hands downs for looks, modern cars just can't compare.

Better not hit anyone with the front... there's hardly a bumper there...

Gosh, I wonder what the new era is all about. For crying out loud it's not that different from the previous model. If they were to follow the M1 Hommage trend, now that would be a new era.

Well.... the kidneys are HUEG.

Atleast they're slowly mellowing out the bangle-butt look.

More M1 Homage into production please :D

Since after the E38, IMO - It's like the E34/E34 generation car reincarnated.

Yeah I was really warming up to the e65 e66 design and starting to appreciate the lines. Then they design a freakin Volvo.

Dare I say.. I kind of like it. The cabin actually looks classy now. Hard to tell from the picture, but the materials LOOK to be finer (could just be some image trickey). Front looks a little weird.. and yes I see the Volvo.. but all in all I think its an improvement. What i'm really interested to see is the new 5-series (F10).

Nah, I'd say the E38 sport was the last good looking BMW. In fact I'd say the E38 Sport is a better looking car than the E32 ever was. But a regular E38 doesn't cut it.

Almost bought an E38 Sport as after looking for my M-Sport for a little over 2 years I'd kinda given up on finding it. The only good E38 Sport I'd found was in North Carolina which I felt was too far to go for a car. A few months later my M-Sport came up for sale in, you guessed it, NC. Didn't hesitate to fly down there and buy it...
