My shade tree mechanic buddy already asked a small specialized shop in repairing radiators and coolers for industrial purposes to replace the plastic tank and connections on the left side with alu. That works since about 5 years, as now the right side plastic became leaky, they also made that.
Core is from 1991

Not as nice as Zionsville all alu radiators, but cheaper and functional.
Of course for the price he could have bought easily a new Behr, but still plastic on a new rad.

Hey I like the idea of no plastic, but the Z' ones are just so expensive.

That one doesn't look too bad though, I'd use it!

Find a specialzied company servicing/repairing/producing of industrial radiators, they make it for you based on a sample.
Often they have to make a special design to fit a machine in many industries.
They are cheaper than 'car tuning equipment companies'.
Function is most important for a radiator.
