What are some real good useful mods that can be done on the E34 with little to no effort?

Or a lot of effort...

Things light bluetooth and such

Well that's a given. I'm taking about features that are in new BMWs and putting them in the E34.

electrochromatic rearview mirror.

adjustable lowbeams

lumbar support

CD head unit

other than that... my 92 has more features (for a lot less coin) than many brand new cars.

Have not tried Adding bluetooth to it yet, but everything is there to do it...
extra voice coil on speaker, radio mute, column stalk switch for triggering call or hang up (on my Pearl with a BT headset a single button on the headset will answer, hangup, or trigger voice dialing.

lumbar support

I'd be a bit interested in how that's done. I'm guessing you installed the full electrically adjustable lumbar support?

wish it would fit properly!

I had adjustable low beams with my original headlights, one stopped working so I had them disconnected.

The mod I really want is a car pc, with a constant internet connection. I would use it for music, video, maps, contacts, phone calls through skype, gps, email, checking cinema showings, check movie reviews, ect.

I think a few people here have them. Only thing stopping me is that I can't figure out where I would mount a screen so its in comfortable and safe view without obstructing vents, displays, or buttons.

I plan on using that top center vent as a place to put a screen one day. haha

The electrochromatic rearview mirror is indeed good. The mechanically dimmable mirrors are either too dim or too bright at night - they're never Goldilocks right.
