Hey guys

My right (low beam)is not working I changed the bulb still no good.
The OBC did not tell me it was out, but when I pull the plug from the light and turn it on "Ding" Low beam! ,when I plug it back in with the light still not working it does not warn me.

Is this something to do with the LKM?

Cheers hope I don't get pulled up;)

I'm pretty certain it must be: The LKM can 'see' there is a complete circuit hence no error message, but obviously no power is being sent. I'm assuming you've checked the relevant fuses?

Thank's for your replys.
How can I test That it is the LKM with out opening the box?

I'm a bit weary of opening it up ,My brother has a volt meter and I think a solding iron.

I read the E34 site ,So you resolder the relay pins and it should fix it.

Have many of you guys had to fix your LKM.

My light is dead and is not intermittently on/off.

when i got my car the low beams went out in the middle of a fast sweeper in the middle of no where...it was the scariest few second of my life.I somehow had the wits to turn on the foglights,i didnt even try the high beam i thought the lights hd gone completely!I printed the instructions out and took them to a local auto electrician.

Each side of low beams has its own fuse. Did you check both fuses?

Type LKM in "search this thread" Ive got a few lines depicting exactly which relay needs to be resoldered. But you will have to open the box. Get a solder remover(sucker) and you can fix it yourself
