I've started to go through low beam H1 bulbs at a great rate.
Both bulbs went within a week, so i replaced them with some Narva ones.
One of those died two weeks later. Since then I've done 2 more bulbs.

My 92 520 doesn't have an obvious LKM in the fuse box.
Should I be looking at the voltages on the head lights?
What would cause the regulation to get out of wack?

Could it be related to my "Pulsing Dash lights" issue

Thoughts appreciated.

You may well be experiencing huge over-voltage if you're getting pulsing dash lights and your regulator is shot.

Get a DMM or an Oscilloscope over the battery contacts while running, and rev up your engine and watch the voltage carefully.

Get a DMM or an Oscilloscope
Then get somebody to calibrate the scope:D Seriously though, they cant be as cheap as a DMM or as portable. But I'll be pretty pleased if you come back and prove me wrong

10MHz handheld personal scope for the same price as a good DMM :)

Admitedly not in the £4.99 bargain bucket, but hey, it'll work on practically anything in a car, with maybe the exception of injector signals (I have no idea what frequency they run on, and there's a 40MHz version of the scope available too)

Maplin (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=32611&C=Maplin&U=SearchTop&T=oscilloscope&doy=13m5) totally win sometimes :D
